The Atlanta Braves dropped a two-game series to the New York Yankees Tuesday night at Truist Part.
The NL East division leaders had a chance in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game but couldn’t plate across the game-tying run and fell 5-4.
But the talk of the night is yet again a questionable call and replay made on a home plate play.

With New York leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Austin Riley’s single up the middle brought Ozzie Albies home and the Braves waved Freddie Freeman home.
But a close play denied the Braves’ attempt to tie the game. Freeman was called out on a relay from shortstop.
The Braves believed Freeman’s left foot touched the plate before the tag from catcher Gary Sánchez, who may have blocked the plate. The play wasn’t overturned.
“You can clearly see he’s safe and they called him out,” Albies told reporters after the game.
It’s not the first time the Braves have dealt with controversy at home plate this season.
However, Braves fans argued that the replay appeared to show Bohm did not touch the plate with his left foot. The ruling went to the replay booth, where the call stood after there wasn’t enough to overturn the call.
