New video shows the moment a MARTA driver crashed a bus with two passengers on board. The video appears to show the driver nodding off behind the wheel.
The crash happened along North Shallowford Road on Labor Day. Dunwoody police confirmed that the driver has been charged with failure to maintain lane and distracted driving.

In the video, you can see the driver has his hands in his lap and his head nods just before the bus crosses the road. As the bus hits the sidewalk, the driver jolts up and grabs the wheel, but it was too late as the bus was hitting the trees.
In another angle from the front of the bus, you can see it cut across the street and right off the road. A view of the passengers show them getting thrown in their seats before they fall on the floor.

MARTA says the driver and two passengers were hurt in the crash, but their injuries were not life-threatening.
“As always, the safety of our riders and employee is our highest priority and we are reviewing the incident,” a MARTA spokesperson said.
Dunwoody police have not identified the driver.
