LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. — Lawrenceville police say they received multiple calls about a black Cadillac driving erratically, including hitting curbs, driving on the wrong side of the road and stopping at red lights while the driver appeared to fall asleep.

Officers eventually found the Cadillac and say the driver was again driving on the wrong side of the road.
According to police, the driver appeared confused during the traffic stop and did not know where he was or what time it was.

Body camera footage released by the Lawrenceville Police Department shows what happened during the stop and subsequent arrest.
Police said a beer can fell from the driver’s pocket during a search following the arrest.
Lawrenceville police used the incident to remind drivers that drinking and driving can have dangerous consequences and encouraged people to make a plan before getting behind the wheel.
