ATLANTA — Thursday night is the last time you’ll see the sun at 8 p.m. this year.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says the sun will set at 8 p.m. on Thursday and it’s the last time until April 4, 2027.

This time of year, we lose about two minutes of daylight each day.
Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 a.m., so sunset will be an hour earlier after that.
Nitz says the earliest sunset we’ll see this year is Friday, Dec. 4 when the sun goes down at 5:28:43 p.m.
