Suspect dead in triple shooting in Gwinnett County identified, another taken into custody

BUFORD, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department have identified the deceased person in the Sept. 6 triple shooting as 23-year-old Marvin Wiley from Atlanta.

According to detectives, Wiley was one of the suspects involved in the armed robbery that happened near 1400 Laurel Crossing Parkway in Buford. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have identified the victim of the robbery as Ortagus Bennett, who sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. He was transported to the hospital, where police say he is currently in stable condition.

Detectives say they obtained arrest warrants for E’imod Sanchez Toboris Taylor, who was also injured during the robbery. Taylor is currently in custody and has been charged with felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.

The investigation is ongoing.
