ATLANTA — At least one person is dead after a serious crash shut down a busy road in southeast Atlanta.
Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields reports the crash happened around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of Moreland Avenue and McDonough Blvd.
Police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that a motorcyclist was killed. The victim’s name has not been released.

Traffic Tracker 2 cameras showed an ambulance at the scene along with multiple Atlanta officers and fire personnel. Only one right lane on the northbound side is moving at this time.
Shields saw police escort another ambulance from the scene to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police did not say if that was patient was the motorcyclist or driver.
It’s unclear how long it will be before the road reopens.
