ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — Through DNA testing, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office identified key details about the skeletal remains of a young boy found in a wooded area last year.

A forensic artist with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children created composite images to depict what the child may have looked like.
Testing confirmed the child was male and of Sub-Saharan ancestry, estimated to be between 6 and 7 years of age.
Deputies originally discovered the child’s remains on Nov. 14, 2025, near Honey Creek Road and Tucker Mill Road.

At the time he was found, the boy was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and boys’ shorts.
Initially, authorities could not determine the age, race or identity of the child.
