She says her husband was right to do what he did.
Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes said the officers wife says the officer was making sure she was safe.
The wife and the couple’s attorney spoke Tuesday. The attorney advised him not to be at the news conference.
Randy Dula could face charges in the future because there’s a Georgia state statute that says its a crime to use Flock for purposes outside of law enforcement.
“I wholeheartedly feel like this was all my fault. Had he let me die – he wouldn’t be in this position,” Mariam Dula said.

The wife of the former Milton police detective feels guilty.
She said if she wasn’t suffering from diabetic emergencies so often, her husband would not have used Flock to track her.
“I know there’s a big hype going on about that right now. I know that’s the headline, but my husband did not misuse Flock,” Mariam Dula said. “He actually used Flock for its intended purpose – to find a person that’s in danger.”
She said her husband used Flock seven times over a two-year period and only when he lost track of his wife on the tracking devices they normally used.
“Unfortunately technology fails, and the only reason he even resorted to using Flock is because all the measures we put in place didn’t work,” Mariam Dula said.
She and their attorney said they tried to explain that to the Milton police chief, but they said he wouldn’t listen.
And investigators didn’t include any of their medical proof in the investigation.
“This is my real life. This is literally my life being saved, and I could not speak even though they admitted there’s no policy – no law against it – I was just silenced again,” Mariam Dula said.
Randy Dula is appealing his termination, and he also has a hearing coming up where he’ll plead his case to stay POST certified.
