Water service resumes for about 100 metro Atlanta homes affected by main break

No boil water advisory issued

ROSWELL, Ga. — Water service has resumed after an hours-long outage caused by main break, the Roswell Fire Department said in a Monday night update.

Earlier, the fire department reported in a social media post the break was on Steeplechase Drive between Sassafras Road and Holcomb Bridge Road.

The broken main has been isolated and shut off.

A boil water advisory was not needed.

Part of Steeplechase Drive will be closed in the area for water line and roadway repairs that will start Tuesday morning.

The west entrance lanes will remain barricaded until repairs are done.

Authorities say it will take two weeks to complete the repairs.
