ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Alpharetta fire crews are currently on the scene of a large apartment fire.
Firefighters responded to the Manchester at Mansell Apartment Homes on Huntington Road in Alpharetta Thursday night.
Fire officials say their crews responded at 8:29 p.m. to reports of smoke at the apartment complex.
Channel 2 Action News crews on the scene say several homes have been destroyed as firefighters continue to battle the blaze.

At least one building is fully engulfed in flames.
“We’ve lived here for a few years now, and the fact that it could be our apartment on fire right now is really scary. I hope everyone got out alright,” one resident said.
There is no word at this time how the fire started or if anyone was injured.
