PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — A horse is safe after getting stuck in mud. The horse was in a pond in Putnam County.
Fire crews and several residents worked to get the horse to stable ground so she could stand on her own.

The Putnam County Fire Department posted about the rescue on Facebook.
Fire crews say they brainstormed and used team work to help the horse stand.
An image appears to show the group using fire hoses to help the horse out of the mud.

The Putnam County Fire Department said the horse got a bath after getting out of the mud.
A vet is also evaluating the animal.
