Shaquille O’Neal, an NBA Hall-of-Famer known locally for his support of law enforcement, was honored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation recently.

Shaq was named an honorary FBI special agent after graduating at the FBI National Academy session 299, FBI Director Kash Patrol said on X on Sept. 17.
“This session is historic - FBI was honored to be joined by one of the best supporters of law enforcement in the country - @Shaq - who graduated with this session and became an honorary FBI Special Agent,” Patel said.
Shaq is involved in the local community and was named Henry County Police Department’s community relations chief late last year, as reported by Channel 2 Action News.
