ATLANTA — It’s a celebration and a big honor for legendary WSB Radio host Scott Slade.
On Wednesday night, Slade was inducted into the Georgia Associations of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Channel 2 Action News was at the GAB Banquet and during Slade’s speech he spoke about the importance of local media.
“Local traditional media matters and I feel stronger than ever. Thriving local journalism is essential to the success of any community large or small,” said Slade.
Slade stepped down from hosting Atlanta’s morning news in February.

He was the longest running host in the Atlanta market.
