Bomb squad investigation shut down I-85 lanes in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police shut down multiple lanes on Interstate 85 southbound for a bomb squad investigation. The lanes have since reopened.

Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields reported that at least three lanes were shut down at the North Druid Hills Road exit.

The DeKalb County Police bomb squad arrived at the scene and deployed one of its robot units. The scene cleared around 6:30 a.m.

Police have not released other details at this time.
