Eimod Sanchez Toboris Taylor, 22, was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on Wednesday evening, according to jail records. He is charged with felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a felony.

Arrest warrants say Taylor and three others ambushed the man at his vehicle on Laurel Crossing Parkway between 6:30 and 7 a.m. Sept. 5. The warrants say they took his jewelry and wallet and that Taylor carried an AR-style pistol.

Leroy Jackson lives nearby and went to his window.

“I see someone holding the gun and then firing shots,” Jackson said.

Gwinnett County police say the man they robbed was shot and one suspect, 23-year-old Marvin Wiley of Atlanta, was killed. The warrant says Wiley died while he and Taylor carried out the robbery.

Jackson said his next move was inside the apartment.

“So I tried to take sneak peeks in between them firing and me covering my wife and calling 911,” he said.

The warrants list two more people in the ambush. Police have not released their names.

Another neighbor talked with Channel 2 Action News on the day of the shooting and gave only his first name, Corey. He said he heard three shots at first and then many more.

“We never felt unsafe, but this was very tough,” Corey said.

Jackson later searched Ellison at the Exchange for security video.

“What I’m most afraid of is the lack of cameras around our area,” he said.

He said what he and his wife saw that morning has stayed with them.

“Now when you walk that sidewalk, you know what was there,” Jackson said.

Detectives have called the shooting an isolated incident.
