Lawrenceville police shared video of the incident on social media, showing what officers said was an attempt to get rid of evidence during the ride.

Police identified the suspect as Gary Laidlaw. According to the department, Laidlaw tried to kick a bag of suspected drugs from his shoe underneath the seat of the patrol car.

When that didn’t work, he appeared to try another approach: picking up the bag with his mouth.

“Start considering other options… including, possibly, eating the evidence," the department said.
