ATLANTA, Ga. — Georgia Tech football will have a new look when the Yellow Jackets take the field in the season opener Thursday night,
Georgia Tech Athletics and Atlanta-based Veritiv announced a multi-year partnership that makes the company the first-ever jersey patch sponsor in Georgia Tech football history.

The partnership also names Veritiv the Official Sustainability Partner of Georgia Tech Athletics.
The Yellow Jackets will debut the Veritiv patch Thursday when they open the 2026 season against Colorado at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
The partnership comes after NCAA Division I approved sponsorship logos on game jerseys beginning Aug. 1.

Georgia Tech said the partnership will focus on sustainability, innovation and community impact.
As part of the agreement, Veritiv will work with Georgia Tech Athletics on three sustainability goals: reducing waste and advancing circularity, making procurement more sustainable and using data and innovation to improve resource efficiency.
The partnership also gives Veritiv opportunities to work with Tech student-athletes through NIL activities.
“Georgia Tech athletics is proud to welcome Veritiv as our first-ever football jersey patch sponsor and the Official Sustainability Partner of Tech Athletics,” Georgia Tech Vice President and Director of Athletics Ryan Alpert said.
Veritiv CEO Sal Abbate, a Georgia Tech alumnus, said the partnership will extend beyond gamedays and provide opportunities to support future leaders.
Georgia Tech said it plans to announce jersey patch partnerships for additional sports in the coming months.
