ATLANTA — A Georgia man who moved to New York City says he ended up with a bunch of unexpected guests outside his home because the house has the same address used for Peter Parker and Aunt May’s home in the Spider-Man comics.
Jack Shi bought the home three years ago after moving from Georgia when his daughter graduated from NYU.
He said he had no idea about the address until his real estate agent told him.
“We decided to buy this house, and then the agent told me this is Spider-Man’s house. I’m very surprised,” Shi told WABC-TV.
The house sits along Ingram Street in the city’s Forest Hills neighborhood. Shi said people stop by all the time to get pictures of his home.

“Almost every day. Some people, they take a picture of the house,” Shi said.
The attention the house gets has gone far beyond people just taking pictures. Shi said he’s received around 1,000 letters from children who believe Spider-Man lives there.
“Maybe 1,000 letters, very young. And I ask my daughter to answer this later,” Shi said.
Some kids ask Spider-Man questions. Some send drawings, and apparently some just want to spend time with their favorite superhero. So, his spider sense is tingling every time his doorbell is ringing.
Shi said he sees something bigger with all the attention that his home gets.
“I see the hope and the future of America,” he said.
