DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Thieves have broken into a Tucker gas station for the third time in less than one week.

An employee of the Chevron on LaVista Road told Channel 2 Action News last week that in less than 48 hours, the business had been burglarized.

Surveillance video shows thieves rushing into the store just before 3 a.m. Saturday.

Abdullah Ibrahim is scared for his customers and fellow employees.

“This time they came totally prepared with the gloves, masks, trash can, torch light and there were five guys,” he said.

Ibrahim said they were after cigars and cigarettes and got away with bags of them.

“They took out the whole glass and they came one by one. One was looking outside, one was in car and three guys inside. The crowbar was outside, and the detective got it,” he said.

The first break-in happened last Sunday morning, the second just 48 hours later.

Regular customers like Devon Kennedy were shocked to see the shattered glass when they walked in.

“I worry about my friend. He opens the store daily, and he just had a baby, so it would be terrible to have anything happen to a good man like that in the community,” Kennedy said.
