DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — An investigation is underway after a person was seriously injured in a shooting in DeKalb County.

According to DeKalb County police, officers responded to the 3400 block of Blazing Pine Path around 11:38 a.m. to a report of a person shot.
Once officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot once. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive, police said. The victim’s age and identity have not yet been released.
DKPD is working to learn what led up to the incident. Anyone with information can send an anonymous tip through the DeKalb County Police Department app or by texting “DKPD” to 847411, followed by the tip.
