“We going to get justice,” Crosby said on Monday. “You’re going to turn yourself in and give your story. We want to know what happened.”

Crosby is hopeful that she can get those answers from a teen seen in a video with her son in the moments before his death in September.

The video shows the suspect and Jamiren walking away from his home on Sept. 18. Jamiren’s body was found about a mile away the next in the brush behind a townhome at 2656 Parkway Trail in Lithonia.

“It’s been a long month. I still feel like I’m living in a nightmare. This is unreal,” said Crosby. She said her son has history with the teen seen in the surveillance video.

“They got in trouble in the past together. I don’t understand. They had actually been fighting and just became back friends. I don’t understand why he had it out for Jamiren.”

Crosby is determined to find out why her son was taken from her and is calling on the parents of the teen in this video to do the right thing.

“Just turn him in before it is your child,” she said.
