DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man wanted in connection with a kidnapping and extortion case in metro Atlanta.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Atlanta Field Office, Julious George Khalid, 38, is wanted for his alleged role in an Aug. 7 incident on Interstate 20 near Panola Road.
Investigators say Khalid and several other individuals allegedly posed as law enforcement officers and stopped a victim at gunpoint along the interstate. Authorities said the victim was then kidnapped and extorted for a large amount of money.

According to the FBI, Khalid may also use the alias Akeem M. Mitchell.
The FBI is asking for the public’s help in locating Khalid. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip online through the FBI’s tip portal.
Authorities said a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to Khalid’s arrest and conviction.
