DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is reopening its food pantry on Saturday Aug. 22.
The pantry, affectionately called The King’s Table Food Pantry, will serve the community starting at 10 a.m. and run until noon.
The need to provide food for those in the community is now even greater than ever before.
The Kings Table Food Pantry is working to fill this need and serve nearly 8000 families weekly. The items provided include fresh fruits and vegetables along with non-perishable staples.

The food giveaway will take place at the Stonecrest location of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
Early arrival is recommended, as food will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In addition to the food donations, there will be free drive-thru COVID-19 testing. The church teamed up with local physician Dr. Damon Kimes to provide the service.
The testing is from 10 a.m. and will go until 2 p.m. No appointments necessary to participate in COVID-19 testing.
