“I had a bad day at work,” the driver told officers after being clocked at 124 mph on the interstate, police said.
In a social media post, the Dunwoody Police Department acknowledged that everyone has bad days but warned that driving at such high speeds puts everyone on the road at risk.
“Driving at triple-digit speeds puts everyone on the road at risk and can turn a frustrating day into a fatal one,” the department said.

Police said their priority is making sure everyone gets home safely and reminded drivers that speeding will not solve their problems.
“Speeding at 124 mph won’t solve your problems,” the department said. “It will only earn you a ride to jail, where your day is likely to get even worse.”
The department shared a simple reminder: Slow down.
The driver’s age and identity were not released.
