- The state’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is up to 42,902 and 1,827 deaths as of 7 p.m. Sunday. The Georgia Department of Public Health says it will update its website with new data at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- A 17-year-old boy in Fulton County has become the youngest in the state and the first pediatric patient to die of COVID-19.
- Some metro churches may be preparing to reopen this weekend. President Donald Trump deemed churches and other houses of worship “essential" and called on governors to allow them to reopen.
- The Lovett School says several 2020 graduates have tested positive for COVID-19.
