COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A road rage victim says a man followed him into a gas station and attacked him with a machete. The attack was all captured on video at the Texaco station off Hurt Road in Austell.
Channel 2's Chris Jose met with the victim, Joshua Evans, who showed Jose the injuries he got during the attack.
"Stitches on this finger. Stitches on my wrist. He caught me in the back," he said. "Anything could’ve happened to me. I could’ve lost my life over that."
"The light just turned green. The man is just honking his horn," he said.
Evans told Jose he wasn't sure why the man, identified by police as Dave Williams, became so angry. But he believes Williams became angry about the way he turned into the station.

Evans said Williams followed his car and waited for him to leave the store to start an argument.
The two exchanged words and Evans admitted he yelled back and even threw a punch because Williams charged at him. That's when Williams walked back to grab something from his trunk.
"I hear a lady like, 'He has a machete. He has a machete.' So I'm trying run from him," Evans said.
In the video, you can see Williams chase Evans around the pump. Evans slipped and fell as he tried to get away while his girlfriend jumped on Williams' back.
Jose met with a man who witnessed the attack and sent the cellphone video that captured it.
"It didn’t look like he wanted to kill him, but it did look like he wanted to hurt him bad," said the witness, who asked us not to identify him.
The man gave the video to police and the license plate number. A vest with Williams' Walmart badge still on it also fell off the car as he drove away.
Williams sits in the Cobb County Jail, charged with aggravated assault with intent to murder.
