Christopher Gasquez, who says he was the victim, showed up at the courthouse hoping to hear whether Darrell Wright would plead guilty or face punishment.
“I kind of thought I was going to hear if he’d plead guilty or if they were going to give him any sort of punishment. I thought I would hear some of that today,” Gasquez said.
Wright’s attorney appeared in court, but Wright did not. The attorney asked the judge to continue the case.
Gasquez said he was disappointed by the delay.

“I guess it’s to be expected. I guess with the nature of his position, he’s got a little leverage,” he said.
Gasquez says the road rage incident happened earlier this year in Kennesaw. Police arrested Wright and charged him with aggressive driving.
Wright works on the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office Community Engagement Team.
Dashcam video of the incident shows Wright yelling, cursing and making obscene gestures while driving.
Gasquez says Wright began riding his bumper and nearly hit him several times before holding up what appeared to be a badge.
“I was minding my own business, and I felt like I did the right thing. I kept my cool. I recorded. He did stupid stuff. I didn’t,” Gasquez said.
Gasquez also questioned Wright’s conduct given his role with the DA’s office.
“You’re supposed to be creating engagement. How are you going to operate like that? That’s crazy,” he said.
Channel 2 Action News reached out to Wright’s attorney for comment but had not received a response.
When Channel 2 Action News first reported on the incident earlier this year, the DA’s office said Wright promptly disclosed the matter.
The office also said it respects the judicial process and would not prejudge the outcome of a matter that had not yet been adjudicated.
