Salvador Lopez was taken into custody Wednesday in connection with the Aug. 20 shooting on Museum Circle near the 7000 block of Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.
Police said officers responded just before 4 p.m. after receiving reports of a person shot. The victim had gunshot wounds to his leg and foot.
Investigators said a witness provided video showing Lopez and the victim getting into a physical fight over the victim’s bicycle.
According to police, the video shows the suspect swinging at the victim before about four gunshots were heard. The suspect then left the scene.
Clayton County investigators continued working the case for several weeks before SWAT officers executed search and arrest warrants at Lopez’s home on Wednesday.
