ATHENS, Ga. — A traffic stop in downtown Athens led to the arrest of two men after officers found drugs and firearms inside a vehicle, according to police.

Athens- Clarke County Police said officers stopped a vehicle on East Dougherty Street on Aug. 26 as part of an investigation. During the stop, officers said they seized marijuana, MDMA pills, two Mini Draco guns, a digital scale and drug packaging materials.
Authorities arrested Deontai Rouse, 23, of McIntyre and charged him with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies. Police said he was also cited for suspended registration.

Malik Tucker, 23, of Gordon, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.
Both men were taken into custody following the investigation.
