CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A 21-year-old woman is charged with stabbing her mother at a Cherokee County Chick-fil-A.
Investigators said Shyanniah Ma’Ree Johnson and her 39-year-old mother, also of Milwaukee, were traveling to Wisconsin when they started to argue in their vehicle.

The pair exited Interstate 75, pulled into the Chick-fil-A parking lot and began to fight inside the vehicle.
Johnson assaulted her mother, who sustained no less than 10 stab wounds, investigators said. Johnson also was injured in the leg.
Johnson drove away with two children but was caught in Whitfield County. She remains in the hospital for treatment.
Her mother was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

The children are in the custody of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services in Whitfield County.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be added.
The Chick-fil-A closed for the rest of Thursday. It reopened at 6 a.m. Friday, according to the store and mobile ordering app.

NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene live during Channel 2 Action News at 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
Channel 2’s Michele Newell learned that the mother ran inside the Chick-fil-A while the daughter got into her car with her two 3-year-old children and sped off.
Acworth police who were inside the restaurant at the time helped until an ambulance arrived to take the woman to the hospital.
