ATLANTA — Agents are working hard at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to keep counterfeit goods from making it into your home over the holidays.
“It’s the holiday season and we’re starting to see a big volume, a big influx of this counterfeit merchandise,” said Ronnie Matheson with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection have busted numerous items at the airport in just the past week.
"Rolex watches, they are a dime dozen right now," Matheson told Channel 2's Wendy Corona.
Some of the items include a Gucci fanny pack, items from Under Armour and Rolex watches getting packed inside other shipments.
In past holidays, Hoverboards have been the big, busted bogus item. Agents say people need to be protected from them.
“It could work for a day but then what? You could take it home and it could burn your house down for all you know,” Matheson said.

This year, Yetis are the bogus item. While they may look good, they can contain lead and harm your health.
“These fake items, I am not sure that it’s safe because there’s some contamination,” said traveler Junwoo Lim.
Saheed Yusuf, an online shopper, said he supports the busts because he finds too many counterfeit items online.
“When they mail it to you and you look at the picture, you think you are getting the quality,” Yusuf said.
