“It’ll never get old hearing how much they love the place!” she said. “We’re extremely proud of what we’ve built, and how the community has ‘reacted’ to what we’ve built.”
The Battery -- sort of the front porch of the home of the Atlanta Braves. 122 acres, 40 restaurants and retail shops, 1.5 million square feet of office space and 531 apartments.
Julia Soltysiak lives in one of them.
“I have season tickets, so I’m at nearly every game,” Slotysiak said. “My favorite boutique is here. My favorite restaurants. It’s all here.”

The Braves have one of the only ballparks in Major League Baseball with its very own town, where a population of more than 9 million visits every year.
Dylan Sharits wishes his team had one of these.
“I’ve always said it’d be awesome to be able to leave Dodger Stadium and walk right out the gate and have something to do,” Sharits said.
Lauren Abernethy is The Battery’s Vice President of Marketing. She says executives for many of the other 29 teams in the league have expressed a similar sentiment as Sharits. They wish they had what we have.
“It’s great to see how jealous they are of what we’ve built,” Abernethy said.
Next year is The Battery’s 10 year anniversary.
