ATLANTA — A security officer was shot Tuesday night while trying to stop someone who was trying to break into cars at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex.
It happened just before 7:45 p.m. along Landrum Drive.
Officers said they found the guard, 27, with a gunshot to his leg when they arrived at the scene.
He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated.
Investigators said the shooter, or shooters, got away and are currently searching for them.
