ATLANTA — Georgia and the nation are mourning the loss of beloved former President Jimmy Carter.
The Carter Center announced that he died at his home in Plains, Ga. on Sunday afternoon. He was 100.
They have created a memorial website for the public to pay their respects to the former president.

On the website, people can share memories, give their condolences in an online book and read tributes from some of those who knew him best.
Though he is gone, the Carter Center says his legacy will live on.
When former first lady Rosalynn Carter passed away in November 2023, the Carter Center created a similar condolence book to allow the public to pay their respects to Mrs. Carter.
The Carter family has asked that in lieu of flowers, the public make donations to The Carter Center.
