" Last year when we came, we came at the start time and the line was like two hours long, going down the street. So this year, we wanted to be prepared,” said parent Tiffany Ross.
Students got a chance to collect the school supplies they needed before the school year began, as Atlanta Public Schools partnered with Grady Memorial Hospital and Amazon to provide bookbags, school supplies and other resources.

Students could even get a free haircut at the event.
" Our employees live in this community and their young people actually attend schools. And so we want to be here for our neighbors because you see that there’s a need,” said Amazon’s head of community affairs for the Atlanta region, Terreta Rodgers.
