SEVERE WEATHER ALERT DAY: Large hail, damaging wind possible Monday

ATLANTA — Severe Weather Team 2 says metro Atlanta should be weather aware come Monday.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said wet roadways could be problematic for the Monday morning commute.

In the afternoon, the cold front will move into the north with some isolated showers. Late afternoon and into the evening, the risk of severe weather will go up.

Between 8 p.m. through 11 p.m., Nitz said that's where we can expect our biggest risks of two inches of hail or larger.
