Channel 2 Action News called, emailed, and even sent an Instagram message to dentist Dr. Justin Scott, but did not hear back. Scott was served with a summary suspension, meaning the suspension was made without any hearing.
The doors are closed at Pure Dental Health on Peachtree Road NE. It’s dark inside, and there is only a sign on the door that says to call if you need to request records.
The Summary Suspension order says the board finds Scott’s use of his license “poses a threat to the public health, safety and welfare….and requires emergency actions.”
The Georgia Board of Dentistry said in Scott’s care and treatment of multiple patients, unlicensed individuals were allowed to provide treatment, patients were treated below the standard of care, and patients were billed for services not rendered.

Channel 2 Action News spoke to one of the patients listed in the suspension order by phone. She said she is out $20,000, and her implants are still not complete after two years. She told us when she came to the office last week for an appointment, Scott wasn’t there, but an investigator was.
The Board of Dentistry also documenting cases, including a patient who learned there was no orthodontist in the practice, stopped treatment and then required corrective orthodontic treatment. Another patient with bone necrosis or dead bone tissue after implants and another now at risk of losing her front teeth.
Scott has a right to respond to the suspension and try to get his license back. He can ask for a hearing.
