Officers responded to the complex around 1:40 a.m. on Friday, finding Myers suffering from gunshot wounds inside the parking garage, where he died at the scene.
Lt. Christapher Butler with Atlanta police said Myers, a resident of the apartment complex, was targeted in a robbery-related incident.
“This appears to be an isolated incident that was robbery-related,” Butler said. “That’s what we’re believing now, based on the facts.”
Management at Mezzo Apartment Homes provided surveillance footage that proved crucial to the investigation.
“Their video surveillance worked in the key spots and because of them, you know, everything came together very quickly for us,” Butler said.
Investigators used the surveillance video to identify a suspect vehicle and issued a lookout notice for a Chevrolet Impala. Police located a matching vehicle in Cobb County near South Cobb Drive and Appleton Drive, where officers arrested Wingo, Lewis and Goodings.

A friend of Myers who was present during the incident was also injured and taken to a local hospital. Police confirmed that the individual was not shot.
Kevin Harris, whose friend lives at the apartment complex where the shooting occurred, reflected on the violence happening so close to home.
“The fact that I’m steps away from where it went down is actually very — it’s disheartening for sure,” Harris told Channel 2’s Michael Seiden.
He urged others to remain vigilant in light of the shooting.
“Things can happen anywhere, is what I say,” Harris said. “And just, you know, always, you know, keep your head on the swivel and be aware of your surroundings.”
