The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died in a shooting on the Atlanta Technical College campus Monday.
Atlanta police said officers responded to the campus Monday after a student’s gun accidentally went off in a classroom. Police found a student shot in the leg and another student dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a bathroom.
On Tuesday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the student as 60-year-old Donald Silva.

The college said it secured the campus after the shooting and classes and operations later resumed.
“Our thoughts are with the students, their families and the entire Atlanta Technical College community during this time,” a spokesperson said.
