5th arrest made in mass shooting at Macon park

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — More than a week after 12 people were wounded in a shooting at a Macon park, authorities have made a fifth arrest.

Jaylen Williams, 18, now faces 11 counts of aggravated assault party to a crime in the shooting at Carolyn Crayton Park on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Two of the young men shot, ages 17 and 18, were listed in critical condition. There is no word on their current conditions.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office previously arrested four men, 20-year-old David Pitts, 22-year-old Jaquez Bailey, 17-year-old Lantonio Hill and 19-year-old Justin Green.

All five suspects are being held without bond.

Investigators have not released details on what led up to the shooting.
