ATLANTA — The hot, humid and stormy week isn’t over yet for metro Atlanta.

Severe Weather Team 2 says another round of possibly strong to severe storms will move in this afternoon.

7:24 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issues for Jasper and Putnam County until 8:15 p.m.

6:42 p.m.

Trees and power lines are down in Roswell.

6:14 p.m.

Trees are down across a road in Cherokee County.

6:09 p.m.

More than 2,000 Jackson Electric customers are without power, the majority of them in Gwinnett County.

5:56 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Barrow, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale and Walton County until 6:45pm.

5:55 p.m.

MARTA says there are tree branches down at the North Springs station, and southbound trains are boarding from the northbound platform.

5:54 p.m.

A tree has fallen across some lanes of 400SB between Roswell and Sandy Springs. It’s unclear if the tree fell on any cars.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for parts of DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, North Fulton counties 6 p.m.

5:16 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for parts of Paulding, Cherokee, Georgia, Cobb, North Fulton and Bartow counties until 6 p.m.

4:50 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Cherokee, Forsyth, Dawson and Pickens counties until 5:15 p.m.

3:15 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Gilmer, Murray and Fannin counties until 4 p.m.

2:51 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for several counties across North Georgia until 7 p.m.

  • There is a Level 2 out of 5 threat for severe storms.
  • The storm threats include damaging wind, large hail and heavy rain.
  • Bulk of the rain and thunderstorms will be in the afternoon and evening hours.
  • Until rain moves in, heat index values will be in the high 90s.
