ATLANTA — Santa could bring some snow when he visits Georgia on Friday.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said Christmas Eve will be wet, and Christmas morning could start with flurries and light snow showers in north Georgia.

“Technically a white Christmas is defined as at least one inch of snow accumulation,” Nitz said. “That’s unlikely this year, but if we get any snow I’ll be willing the bend the rules if you are and call this an unofficial white Christmas.”
A White Christmas is rare in Georgia: there has only been one on record officially in 2010.
