Westminster has been declared the winner of the MaxPreps Cup, a national all-sports trophy for the most successful athletic program in any classification for the 2012-13 academic year.
Westminster completed the most dominant sports year in Georgia history with 11 state championship and four runner-up finishes. The previous record, of nine, was held by Marist (2008-09).

St. Pius was third nationally. The Lions won Class AAA titles in boys and girls soccer, boys track and field, boys and girls cross country and girls basketball.
Marist finished ninth nationally with state titles in Cross Country (Boys), Cross Country (Girls), Golf (Boys), Soccer (Girls), Tennis (Girls), Track and Field (Boys), Track and Field (Girls).
Westminster won the Class AA championships in boys golf, boys soccer, boys track and field, boys tennis, boys cross country, girls soccer, girls track and field and girls tennis. Westminster also won championships in combined classification sports (AAAAA-A) in girls lacrosse, girls swimming and boys lacrosse.
Westminster was especially dominant in the spring this year, winning nine of a possible 11 state titles. The previous record for spring state titles had been five.
