ATLANTA, Ga. — An Atlanta was released from the hospital after learning she had dangerously high blood-pressure at a health expo with Dr. Oz Saturday.

“I want to share some information with you right now, that blood pressure you got is toxic,” Dr. Oz said.

Marion Devlin, 52, was among the hundreds of people attending the free health screening put on Saturday by Dr. Oz.

Devlin's blood pressure was checked several times. Dr. Oz said he was alarmed by her levels.

“So I can't send you home with that blood pressure,” he said. “We need to get you to the emergency room.”

Dr. Oz walked with Devlin to an ambulance waiting outside the Hilton Hotel.

Afterwards, Dr. Oz spoke to Channel 2’s Justin Farmer about Devlin's health.

“Her blood pressure when I checked it here was 230/135,” he said. “You can't walk around with those numbers, that will literally kill you, (snaps figures), like that.”

He said her blood pressure was nearly double the normal levels, prompting him to walk her to an ambulance.

Devlin underwent tests at a nearby hospital, was given a prescription and later released.
