Winning ticket worth $750K sold in Blackshear

A Blackshear gas station has sold a winning Georgia Lottery ticket worth three-quarters of a million dollars just in time for the holidays. Flash Foods #0191, located at 1494 Highway 84, sold the holiday-themed Jingle Jumbo Bucks instant ticket with a $750,000 top prize.

The winner, Nellie Swain of Blackshear, claimed her prize Dec. 2 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
