MIDLAND, Texas — What started out as an ordinary extra point kick at a high school football game has turned into a viral sensation.
Midland Lee kicker Luis Aranda nailed a line-drive kick that would likely have not been good, except that it bounced off a referee’s head. The ball clipped the crossbar before sailing through the uprights.
There was a bit of confusion before the extra point was deemed good.
The referee was a bit shaken up, but not injured during the play.
