Man arrested after stealing $65,000 worth of clothes from Hollister, American Eagle, police say

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — A Tennessee man was arrested on suspicion of stealing $65,000 worth of merchandise from clothiers American Eagle and Hollister, police said.

Johnson City police said Justin Moody, 32, worked for a delivery company and would open packages and steal the contents, WJHL reported.

Moody was arrested and charged with two counts of theft of property over $10,000, police said.

He took about $30,000 worth of merchandise from American Eagle and $35,000 from Hollister, investigators said. Police started investigating after numerous thefts from the clothing companies were noticed starting in February.
