LOS ANGELES — A mural paying tribute to NBA icon Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, is now on display in Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, artist Jules “Muckrock” Muck began creating the portrait Sunday on a Pickford Street wall after learning that the father-daughter pair were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash. The two smile and embrace in the painting, which includes the caption, “Kobe & Gigi, Forever Daddy’s Girl,” KGO-TV reported.

Muck finished the mural by 4 p.m. Sunday, according to the Daily News.

“It just meant a lot to me. My dad was ill, and so their death just hit me,” Muck told the newspaper.
