As the number of COVID-19 patients and deaths from the coronavirus continue to climb, many people may be wondering how many people worldwide have contracted the virus.

Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering has come up with an interactive map.

If you have these symptoms and have been in close contact with a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or you have traveled from an outbreak area, the CDC advises you to call your doctor.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say the symptoms of the coronavirus are fever, cough and shortness of breath.
