LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A former Louisville police officer charged in connection to Breonna Taylor’s shooting death pleaded not guilty Monday to three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
An attorney for Brett Hankison entered the not guilty pleas on his client’s behalf during an audio conference call arraignment addressing charges he fired recklessly into a neighboring apartment during the March 13 raid on Taylor’s residence, The Washington Post reported.
Hankison was fired from the Louisville Metro Police Department in June for his actions the night officers fired multiple rounds into her apartment, striking and killing her.
